BEHIND THE
CAMERA
Hon Leong is a Malaysia-based photographer who majors in commercial photography.
His curiosity for photography evolved during his uni life in 2011. Being an advertising graduate, he ventured into the commercial photography industry by joining a top-notch Malaysia image agency in 2012 for plain passion and interest. As he invested his time and talent in this field, he gained greater confidence and experience from his works, double assuring him that his venture into this industry was the right decision. In 2016, he started a photography business by his name – HonLeong Photography.
In 2021, he founded Bigture Studio to persist in collaborating with more skilled commercial creators to provide well-curated photography services to clients in various industries.
Throughout his 10 years of experience in the photography industry, he and his team work closely with many homegrown and international brands in developing quality photographs, such as MAS airlines, Amazon.Sg, Panasonic, Manhattan Fish Market, KLK, Maggi, Pos Malaysia, MyTown Shopping Centre, Kyochon, Vivo, Playpoint, Lotus's Malaysia etc.
Widely known for his food and product photography, he started single-handedly and gradually grew to deliver corporate branding photography with human touches such as TVC stills, lifestyle and company profile photography.
His knowledge in advertising, combined with his perseverance for photography and enthusiasm for business, make him a person who can envision the entire advertising process, which makes it effortless for his client to work together.
