MEET HON LEONG
THE FOUNDER
Hon Leong is a Malaysia-based photographer specializing in commercial photography.
His passion for photography began during his university years in 2011 while studying advertising. In 2012, he joined a leading image agency in Malaysia, laying the foundation for his career. This experience sharpened his creative direction and technical skills, affirming his path in the visual industry. In 2016, he launched his own photography business, HonLeong Photography.
Starting out independently, Hon Leong gained recognition for his expertise in food and product photography. Over time, he expanded into corporate branding, producing human-centered visuals such as TVC stills, lifestyle imagery, and company profile photography.
Hon Leong’s unique strength lies in blending creative vision with marketing strategy. His advertising background enables him to understand brand goals and translate them into purposeful, compelling visuals. This approach makes collaboration seamless and results-focused, helping businesses build stronger visual identities.
Through the years, Hon Leong aspired to do more than just shoot — he wanted to build. His vision evolved into forming a team of talented commercial creators who share his commitment to crafting professional, customised images that cultivate an emotional bond between the audience and the big picture of a brand. Among the key creative forces in this team is Li.
Li, a senior photographer with over 20 years of experience in the commercial photography industry.
Li is widely respected for his ability to produce compelling food, product, and lifestyle imagery that captures both form and feeling. His portfolio includes collaborations with global brands such as McDonald’s China, Samsung, AirAsia, Petronas, and Tourism Malaysia — a testament to his skill and versatility.
What sets Li apart is his mastery of visual storytelling through detail. He brings subjects to life by highlighting textures, colors, and moments that resonate deeply with viewers, creating photography that is not only visually stunning but also strategically impactful.

SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER
In 2021, Hon Leong founded Bigture Studio with a simple vision: to create a space where passionate photographers and creatives could work together to produce meaningful, brand-focused imagery. He believed that by collaborating with like-minded professionals, they could offer clients thoughtfully crafted and personalised photography services across a variety of industries.
Since then, Bigture Studio has had the opportunity to work with both homegrown and international brands, including MAS Airlines, Amazon.sg, Panasonic, Manhattan Fish Market, KLK, Maggi, Pos Malaysia, MyTown Shopping Centre, KyoChon, Vivo, Playpoint, Lotus’s Malaysia etc.
With Li onboard, the studio’s creative edge is further sharpened. His experience, technical precision, and storytelling approach bring another level of artistry to the team. At Bigture Studio, Li contributes more than skill — he helps brands connect with their audiences through imagery that inspires, performs, and builds trust.
